(1998)Motel California is the third and most recent studio album by rock band Ugly Kid Joe. Released in 1996, it was their last album before they disbanded in 1997 and reformed in 2010.
The title is a parody of the Eagles's album, Hotel California. It received lukewarm reviews and poor sales.
The song "Rage Against the Answering Machine" is a pun on the contemporary Los Angeles band name Rage Against the Machine.
