Svën Höek is a fictional character created for "The Ren & Stimpy Show". He appeared in the 1992 episode "Sven Höek". He is Ren Höek's estranged cousin, whom he had not seen since they were puppies.

In the episode

Having had to live with Stimpy for so long, Ren is elated that Svën is coming to visit. Much to Ren's dismay, however, Svën turns out to just as stupid as Stimpy, if not more so. Over the course of the episode, Svën and Stimpy delight in showing off their disgusting possessions and playing silly games like "Don't Whiz on the Electric Fence". It is also revealed during the episode that both Svën and Stimpy are members of the Loyal Order of Stupids. Ren becomes so frustrated with Stimpy and Svën's antics, especially when they ruin his collective artifacts, that he threatens them with bodily harm and then urinates on the aforementioned electric fence game, which results in the house being blown up and the three of them paying a visit to Hell.

In other media

Although he never appeared in another episode of the show, Svën would go on to make semi-regular appearances in Marvel Comics' "Ren & Stimpy Show" comic book. Perhaps his most notable appearance in the comics is "Are We There Yet?" ("The Ren & Stimpy Show" #26), in which Ren has to drive him and Stimpy to a far-away amusement park, growing increasingly irritated with their antics. Eventually, Ren is forced to tie and gag them, only to end up getting arrested as it appears as though he's taken them prisoner. Ren, however, finds himself preferring jail time over having to put up with Stimpy and Svën.

Another story prominently featuring Svën is "Box Tops!" ("The Ren & Stimpy Show" #24), which revolves around Stimpy trying to scrounge up 10,000 Gritty Kitty Litter box tops to send in for a special litter box. Svën happens to visit, bringing with him the box tops that Stimpy needs. Stimpy offers to give his used bubble-gum collection to Svën in exchange for the box tops. The deal is made, but when Stimpy finally does receive his litter box, he feels too guilty to enjoy it, so he apologizes and gives it to Svën, who accepts it as a hat. He also appeared in "The Party" ("The Ren & Stimpy Show" #30), as a guest Stimpy invites to Ren's birthday party. Svën has only one line in this story.

Svën is also prominently mentioned on the album "" in the song "The Twelves Days of Yaksmas", in which Ren & Stimpy count off the oddball Yaksmas gifts he has sent them.
