Pendle Borough Council is a council covering the area of Pendle in east Lancashire, Great Britain.

2006 Local Elections

In 2006, Pendle Borough Council gained an Asian Liberal Democrat councillor, a BNP councillor and two councillors for the nationalist England First party [ [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/4974984.stm BBC News article] ] .

In 2007 the council banned one of its employees from wearing a St George's bandana because "it could be considered offensive and racist" [ Dustman Matthew Carter quoting the verbal reprimand he had received from Ian McInery, operational service manager for P.B.C.] .
