LPG powered scooters

LPG powered scooters

An LPG powered scooter is a motorised two wheeled vehicle powered by autogas LPG (liquid petroleum gas).

Increasing in popularity throughout mainland Europe and Great Britain, the mopeds are readily in use in China and many parts of Southern Asia, where they enjoy an urban cult following due to traditional styling, ease of use and fuel efficiency.

Cities such as Shanghai have banned petrol scooters and only allow LPG scooters to be used in the city due to the high pollution levels the city experiences.

The scooters use the four-stroke cycle in replace of the traditional two-stroke, thus producing less harmful emissions though not compromising performance.

With a growing number of petrol stations stocking LPG, the “green” fuelled vehicles are easy to refuel.
