Don Scott opened his first store in
1954 . In1963 , with partner Bill Reitz, they built Scott's into a dominant grocery store chain in northeast Indiana. In1991 , Scott's became part of Supervalu. Scott's currently operates eighteen stores in northeast Indiana. Scott's was sold to TheKroger Company ofCincinnati in 2007 for $33 million. In July 2007,Kroger Company announced that they would be closing five stores effectiveAugust 4 ,2007 in Indiana.External links
