Scott's Food & Pharmacy is a grocery store chain with eighteen stores in the Fort Wayne, Indiana market. The company was once a wholly owned subsidiary of Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based Supervalu but was acquired by Kroger in 2007.

History

Don Scott opened his first store in 1954. In 1963, with partner Bill Reitz, they built Scott's into a dominant grocery store chain in northeast Indiana. In 1991, Scott's became part of Supervalu. Scott's currently operates eighteen stores in northeast Indiana. Scott's was sold to The Kroger Company of Cincinnati in 2007 for $33 million. In July 2007, Kroger Company announced that they would be closing five stores effective August 4, 2007 in Indiana.
