Heroes' Day or National Heroes' Day may refer to a number of commemorations of national heroes in different countries. It is often held on the birthday of a national hero or heroine, or the anniversary of their great deeds that made them heroes.

Heroes Day in United Kingdom
The United Kingdom has recently[when?] introduced the idea of a Heroes Day celebrated on October 21st[citation needed], the same day as the celebrations for the victory at The Battle of Trafalgar. Founded initially[by whom?] as an idea to help army personnel in the wake of the 300th British serviceman to die in operations in Afghanistan, it has developed into a day where British people thank the Armed Forces for their continued efforts on behalf of the United Kingdom around the world. Similarly the day has also been used[by whom?] to celebrate noted figures in a community, regardless of their official employment.
