Twyford Church of England School is a mixed,
voluntary controlled primary school , which has approximately 60 pupils from the age of four through to the age of nine.The village has in the past had three public houses, but 'The Red Lion' and 'The Seven Stars' were both closed and converted in the past 15 years. The school once taught as few as 25 students, but has since recovered to its highest class numbers ever, at just over 60.
