The blue colour stands forwater , specificallyrain , and comes from themotto on the Botswanan coat-of-arms, which states "Pula", the Tswana word for "Let there be rain". The white and black bands stand for racial harmony, and also refer to thezebra s that support the nation's coat of arms.External links
