Both theatrical clubs excel and boast statewide recognition through the production of "Mmmbeth" at the Texas Thespian Convention in the fall of 2005. The clubs also volunteer their time serving as ushers for the Dallas Theatre Center. Also, the Theatre UIL play for 2006-2007: "Bits and Pieces" advanced to the Area competition, the first time in the JHHS Theatre history, and the first time in 10 years that a school from M.I.S.D. advanced from the District level.

The John Horn Jaguar Band is one of the greatest organizations ever. Hardworking kids with a passion for music. They practice every mornin and Tuesday nites for UIL competition on Wednesday October 15, 2008. I’m amazed at what the band is accomplishing at this point. As a member I love saying Im with the band because it is the best feeling in the world. The band is truly a remarkable group with the best potential and I know and they know what we have to do and how we have to do it. The only thing I can say is its full speed ahead from here and only God can guide our feet now as long as we do what we gotta do.TK10 4 LYFE BABIEE!!!!!!!
