tv_com_id ="Stateline" is a television current affairs programme produced by the
Australian Broadcasting Corporation . It provides analysis of state and municipal politics as well as insight into state and regional issues in a current affairs journalistic style. Following the main stories, the last segment of the show is dedicated to regional events. Since 2006 there is also a segment called DIY Stateline which allows members of the Australian public to broadcast a video concerning a local event of importance, such as lobbying for action against a particular cause or for one. The show replaces "The 7.30 Report " on Fridays. The show is known for its interviews with politicians, and for its coverage of regional issues. The opening credits feature a short piece of music accompanied by a 'flying' animation giving the viewer a trip towards the logo, passing photographs featuring recent events or people related to stories past seen.It is broadcast on
ABC1 on Fridays at 7:30pm with eight separate state and territory specific editions. Each local version is also available nationally onABC2 .Presenters are as follows:
