R. L. Stine . It is the 23rd book in the "Goosebumps" series.Plot Summary
Gabe Sanchez goes to Egypt to visit his Uncle Ben, an archaeologist, and his bragging cousin Sari. The trio are joined by a female reporter called Nila. Uncle Ben had then found the tomb of King Tut's cousin (Prince Khor-Ru), and one night Ben goes into the tomb, accompanied by Dr. Fielding, however Ben goes missing in the tomb. Gabe and Sari were camping outside when they then realised Uncle Ben hadn't turned up in a long time. They then see Dr. Fielding run from the tomb, Gabe and Sari immediately accuse Dr. Fielding of attacking Uncle Ben, (but later on in the book it is revealed that he is innocent). Gabe and Sari then go to find Uncle Ben themselves, they turn up in the tomb and eventually see Nila bringing back Prince Khor-Ru back to life (Nila had stolen Ben's mummy hand). However, Gabe regains control of the hand when Prince Khor-Ru attacks Nila, Prince Khor-Ru is eventually put back to rest (which he requests), and Gabe accidentally destroys Nila's amber pendant (she was actually an Egyptian Princess, and had lived in the pendant which had kept her immortal for over 4000 years), due to this, Nila transforms back into her scarab form and dashes off, and Uncle Ben is found alive and well, and the book ends with Ben reuniting with Gabe and Sari.
