Hillhall is a non-nucleated village in
County Down ,Northern Ireland , nearLisburn . In the 2001 Census it had a population of about one hundred people. It lies in the Lagan Valley Regional Park and theLisburn City Council area. Hillhall Presbyterian Church is alisted building .People
The ancestors of writer
Iris Murdoch farmed at Hillhall for seven generations, they had about fifty acres leased from the Marquis of Downshire and a further ten acres from the Hertford estate. Today the family burial plot can still be found in Derriaghy Parish Churchyard.References
