Dermot Gleeson (born 5 September 1949) is non-executive chairman of MJ Gleeson Group plc. [1]
He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the BBC, where he served two terms, and subsequently one of the original members of the BBC Trust, the current governing body of the British Broadcasting Corporation.[2] His term at the BBC finished on 31 October 2008.
Gleeson graduated from Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and served in Sir Christopher Tugendhat's cabinet in the European Commission from 1977 to 1979.
