In 2001, radio personality Howard Stern mentioned on his show that he does weight training with Battaglia. Marco beat Stuttering John in a footrace on the Stern Show after John challenged him based on the false belief that since Marco was so big, John was faster. In July 2010 Howard Stern mentioned that he was teasing Marco for wearing his Super Bowl ring and Marco commented that he would prefer not to wear it, but to put in away for safekeeping. However, he claimed his clients and potential clients love it.
