The Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party (Hungarian: Magyar Szocialista Munkáspárt (MSzMP)) was the ruling Marxist–Leninist party of Hungary between 1956 and 1989. It was organised from elements of the Hungarian Working People's Party during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. On November 4, 1956, the party fell under the sway of János Kádár and the Soviet Union.

In 1989, the MSzMP separated into two parties: the majority Hungarian Socialist Party and the minority Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party.
