Darby Mills is a Canadian rock vocalist, best known as the lead singer for Headpins.[1] The band's hits included "Don't It Make You Feel", "Celebration", "Just One More Time", and "Line of Fire". She had a solo hit in 1992 with "Give it All Up".
History
Born in Vernon, British Columbia, Mills began singing back-up vocals for Canadian bands in the 1970s, most notably the local BC band, Steelback.
After signing on with the Headpins in 1981, the group began a three-album run at the top of the Canadian charts, and backed bands such as KISS, Whitesnake, and Aerosmith, among others.
She released her debut solo LP, Never Look Back, which contained her hit "Give it All Up," in 1991 on WEA Records, backed by the Unsung Heroes.
She returned to re-form the Headpins with Bernie Aubin and Ab Bryant a year or so later, without guitarist Brian MacLeod. The band has been a fixture on the tour circuit ever since. In 2005 her name was nominated for a star on Canada's Walk of Fame.
When not on tour Mills teaches tae kwon do.[2]
