- Sunbeam Sikh
The Sunbeam Sikh was a 64.1 litre 60 degree
V12 configurationaircraft engine built by theSunbeam Car Company . There were six valves per cylinder operated by rockers and push rods. The water cooled engine developed 800hp at 1400 rpm in 1919.The Sikh II was a single bank 6 cylinder version developed for
airship s.In 1928 the Sikh III was developed for the
R100 andR101 airships, this being a development of the original Sikh with 5 valves per cylinder operated by twin overhead camshafts.No Sikh engines of any version were sold.
