Long Island Rail Road 'sPort Washington Branch in the Auburndale neighborhood ofQueens inNew York City . The station is part ofCityTicket . The station is located off of Station Road, between 192nd Street and 39th Avenue, just north ofNorthern Boulevard and is 11.7 miles (18.8 km) from Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan.Auburndale Station was originally built in 1901. The original station house was sold and converted into an Episocpal Church on 42nd Avenue and Utopia Parkway when a new elevated station was built in 1930 . This church was closed down in 1973. The elevated platform, which serves both tracks was renovated in 2004-05.
