The music video shows a man who seems to be homeless. He saves a man from being hit by a bus, and suddenly the man can see how long a person has before they die. He learns this when he sees an elderly woman being carried off by an ambulance. Once the timer hits zero, she dies. The man looks at his reflection through a shop window and realizes he cannot see his own timer. He walks around a bit more and sees a business woman unlocking her car. He then notices that her timer is rapidly depleting - much faster than it should. He pulls her out of the way just in time as her car is crushed. The woman is astonished and the man leaves before she can say anything. As she sees him walk away, she notices the timers above everyone's head, indicating that whenever someone is saved before their awaited death point, they are able to see others' lifelines.
