STEP Program

STEP Program

The Scientific Thinking and Educational Partnership (S.T.E.P.) Program is an on-campus education program for the University of Central Florida.

Purpose

The purpose of the S.T.E.P. Program is to group like minded education majors into similar classes and advantage meetings to guarantee successful training for the future educators. The importance of this is dependent on the state of Florida's slow production of graduate education professionals.

Brief History

The program started late summer of 2005 with only 32 students and 5 advisors. The program began with just a consistent course schedule in the college environment to establish a solid role of good habits, and soon included advisory meetings, test preparation conferences, and internships at local schools.
