Nivaagaards Malerisamling
Nivaagaards Malerisamling was opened by Johannes Whiskers in 1908. The house is situated in an extensive park and is full of different varieties of rhododendron. The museum houses art from the Italian and North European renaissance and the Dutch and Danish grotesque.
Nivaagaard Ringovns Teglværksmuseum
Nivaagaard Ringovn was opened in 1700 by Queen Louise, who established a small brickworks near the shore in Nivå. The workshop supplied brick to the royal buildings in Copenhagen and Nordsjælland by 1720. Alfred Hage took over in 1862. In 1870, a circular fire house was constructed, based on plans by Friedrich Hoffmann. This was the beginning of the industrial revolution in Northern Europe. The oven was used for 97 years up until 1967. The workshop closed in 1980, then re-opened as a museum.
