Lisa Jarnot

Lisa Jarnot is an American poet. She was born in Buffalo, New York in 1967 and attended SUNY-Buffalo and Brown University. She has published several volumes of poetry, including "Some Other Kind of Mission" (1996), "Ring of Fire" (2001), and "Black Dog Songs" (2003). She is also the author of a biography of the poet Robert Duncan, "The Ambassador from Venus: A Comprehensive Biography of Robert Duncan" (forthcoming).

Lisa Jarnot starred in the movie "The Time We Killed" by Jennifer Todd Reeves. The film won awards at the Berlin Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival. It has been shown in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Poland, and parts of South East Asia.
