Egypt .The university is mainly owned and financed by Mr. Mohamed Farid Khamis and Mr. Raed Hashem two Egyptian businessmen.
Founded in September 2005.
The University campus covers approximately 40 acres (fedans) of land. The available space within the buildings is 27000 m².

Engineering ,Computer Science ,Business Administration , andNursing .BUE degrees are accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities as degrees from the British University in Egypt but also by Loughborough University.
The University is rapidly developing an institutional research profile and a significant number of research-active staff have been engaged in academic positions. There are many centres dedicated to research including [http://ctp.bue.edu.eg/ The BUE Centre for Theoritical Physics (CTP)] and The Centre for Advanced Materials (CAM). BUE says that its vision is to be regarded as a leading University in Egypt and it aspires to be established as a world-class institution within the next 10 years.
