Approvals to cooperate in the development of Al-Ahram Canadian University (ACU) have been obtained from the following universities:

The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) which represents the Canadian universities, is cooperating with ACU to secure the best implementation possible, a high quality of the education process and the modernity and diversity of its programs.
In addition to the above mentioned universities recent agreements have been signed with:
* CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY at FULLERTON * CAIRO UNIVERSITYAcademic Governance A University Council, established in accordance with the Egyptian rules and regulations concerning private universities, will be responsible for all academic affairs of the university. The President of the university chairs the University Council. The Counselor, a government representative also appointed by virtue of and in conformity with the pertinent Egyptian rules and regulations, is to be an ex-officio member of the University Council. Other members of the Council are the Vice Presidents, the Secretary General, the Deans, and up to five external members. The University Council determines the academic policies and procedures of the University, subject to the approved annual budget and the powers reserved to the President. The University Council can also appoint, as needed, committees or commissions reporting to the council.
Each Faculty will have its own Faculty Council to advice the Dean on academic and student matters. A Faculty Council is chaired by the Dean and has the department heads and three professors as members. It has the functions, powers and duties as may be delegated to it by the President of the University. Recommendations from the Faculty councils are addressed to the University Council.
Each academic department of the faculty will have its own Department Council to advise the Department head on academic and student matters. A Department Council, chaired by the Department head, also includes a professor, an associate professor, and two assistant professors. It has the functions, powers and duties as may be delegated to it by the President of the University. Recommendations from the department councils are addressed to the Faculty council.

# The four faculties are housed in existing buildings of approximately 32000 sq.m. area, in addition to a 60,000 sq.m. of green areas and playgrounds.
# Computer labs: The university has 10 computer labs equipped with a total of 240 state-of-the-art computers.
# Awards for students: A 20% discount is offered to students achieving at least 90% in the high school certificate. Students who achieve over 95% are given 30% discount. There are additional granted discounts particularly to the siblings of universities' academic staff, siblings of martyrs, officers, judges, and members of professional syndicates.
# Academic advising: Every student is assigned to an academic adviser from amongst the full time faculty members. The adviser guides the student throughout his / her university program until graduation.
# Employment and placement services: The university will organize an employment fair and establish a career placement office before the first group graduates in 2009-2010.
# Bookstore: The university has a bookstore that handles required textbooks.
# Library: The library has extra copies of every textbook as well as additional references, readings, encyclopedias, and periodicals. Furthermore, the university library is linked to all major electronic libraries in the world, including the library of the Congress.
# Shuttle services: Shuttle busses to and from the university operate around the clock from major sites in Mohandissen, Dokki, Haram, Maadi, Heliopolis, and Nasr City. Exact routes and schedules are announced in the university site.
# Facilities for the disabled: All university buildings and facilities are designed to facilitate free movement of disabled students.
