S*Core

S*Core

S*Core was a project of Japanese musician Yutaka Tanaka which he started in the early 1980s. Unlike many projects associated with the 1980s Japanoise scene, this one is not pure noise (although S*Core have a few noise pieces which can primarily be found on compilations), but rather a strange mix of field recordings, ambient music, and experimental music. Tanaka collaborated with a number of fellow artists such as Telepherique, Merzbow, and Trigger-B. His last release was "Shedder", which came out on the Solipsism label in 1999, and since then no additional work has been produced.
