Liss ,Hampshire ) is a Britishsinger-songwriter , who now lives in Los Angeles,California . Hermusic has been classified asnew age , folk orworld music . She has released fouralbum s, one of which was aninternet only release.Biography
Shortly after her birth the family moved to
Emsworth ,Hampshire - her family still runs an antique shop inPetworth ,Sussex , where she grew up. As a child she tooksong anddance lessons, and then went on to theGuildhall School of Music and Drama inLondon . She wanted to become anopera singer , but soon realized that her voice was more suited to popular music. She had early success in the
Eurovision Song Contest - gaining fourth place inGothenburg ,Sweden , performing the 1985 UK entry "Love Is" written with Jimmy Kaleth. It sent her packing to theUnited States and full circle returning to her Celtic roots. She did well in terms of touring, television shows and live work, yet a difficult lifestyle coupled with the commercial direction of the material, drove her to emigrate to the United States.Initially teamed with writer/
record producer /sound engineer Jeff Silverman, in 1991 she released an eleven track debutalbum , entitled "Window to a World ", that pioneered a blend of Celtic soundingmusic with a pop feel combiningfiddle ,banjo andmandolin .After releasing her debut album, she moved on to scoring for television shows, composing for "Witchblade", "
Brother Sun, Sister Moon " onDiscovery Channel , "Santa Barbara" and "". She also composed for several movie trailers, including "The Messenger ", "John Q ", "Behind Enemy Lines", "The Shipping News", "Enough ", "Life or Something Like It ", "Showtime", "Rat Race ", "Finding Forrester ", "Saving Silverman ", "Lucky Numbers ", "Lovers of the Arctic Circle", "One Night at McCool's ", "At First Sight ", "Down to Earth", "Instinct" and "Disturbing Behavior ".In 1998, she released a special
mp3 album, called "Aeone". Combining numbers from her debut album and several new ones, the album did well on mp3.com. A few months later, her second studio album was released, "The Woman’s Touch ". The album contained a broad range of song styles, each with clear ethereal vocals, at times rising above full ambient grooves. Theballad s were offset by strong dance rhythms as well as several highly accessible tunes.Fact|date=July 2007After the release, Aeone picked up composing for a while before working on her third album. In between she found time to sing one of the title songs for the TNT mini-series "Mists of Avalon", writing the song "I Will Remember You Still". A year later, the third album, "
Point of Faith ", was released.Among the more remarkable happenings in her career, Aeone recalls her debut in
Zimbabwe , when she sung one song and the band played another; and a television appearance in which she was almost flattened by the American heavy-weight rock singerMeat Loaf .Her songs have been recorded by
Rick Springfield andShari Belafonte . [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1488773/bio]Discography
