binomial_authority ="Azendohsaurus" (meaning "Azendho lizard") was a
genus of herbivorousdinosaur from the MiddleTriassic Period ofMorocco . It is known only from a partial jaw fragment (with some teeth) and is believed to have been aprosauropod . It is a dubioustaxon and is often considered to be a "nomen dubium ".Research published in 2007 suggests that "Azendohsaurus" may have been misidentified and was not a dinosaur at all (Irmis "et al.", 2007).
The type specimen, "A. laaroussi", was described by J. M. Dutuit in 1972.
