Most restaurants per capita in the United States

Many areas within the United States claim the title of Most Restaurants Per Capita. While the numbers of licensed food and drink establishments for the various US cities are not readily available, here are the rankings for the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Washington, DC, with 4 restaurants per 1000 residents, wins hands down, with Montana second with 3.54. Utah comes in dead last with 1.90, with Kentucky next last at 1.94. California's 2.41 matches the national average.
