York Guardian

"The York Guardian" is a weekly tabloid format newspaper that is published each Friday. The newspaper is published by Toronto Community News, a division of Metroland Media Group, which also publishes "The North York Mirror", "The East York Mirror", "The Beaches-Riverdale Mirror", "The Scarborough Mirror", "The Etobicoke Guardian" and "The Bloor-West Villager".

History

"The York Guardian" began publishing on September 8, 1996 and serves the area that was once the former City of York. The newspaper serves what they deem to be "Canada's most diverse community". Forty-thousand copies of the paper are printed each week, 30,000 of which are delivered direct to homes.
