Mr. Van Driessen is concerned that
Beavis andButt-head have failed to show up for class for three weeks. He brings the issue up withPrincipal McVicker , who doesn't care either way. After some convincing from Van Driessen, McVicker reluctantly agrees to have his secretary call their house to ask why the two are not in school. At their
house , it is revealed that Beavis and Butt-head have simply not bothered to go to school, although they are becoming increasingly impatient with thetelevision lineup. When Highland High calls to ask about their whereabouts, Beavis answers, spontaneously replying "er, yeah, they're dead" before hanging up. The secretary relays the news of the duo's apparent demise to Van Driessen and McVicker. The former is shocked and saddened by the news while the latter is joyous that the two that have tormented him for many years are finally gone.Van Driessen returns to break the news gently to his class, only to be beaten to the punch by McVicker, who announces it gleefully over the school intercom, announcing that there will be an emergency faculty party for the teachers to celebrate. Van Driessen attempts to then relate some of his memories of Beavis and Butt-head to the class, leading to a montage of scenes where the two were present, sometimes responsible, for major injuries to Van Driessen's character. He then asks Daria of her memories of them, and she notes that they did not have a very bright future, which is followed by another montage of scenes featuring her reinforcing this view, one of them being Beavis and Butt-head mudwrestling with bras on chanting, "Diarrhea! Cha Cha Cha!" after being asked what they are doing. Another is Van Driessen's class at an art museum saying the paintings are the works of master painters which Beavis and Butt-head misinterperet as "masturbators". Daria corrects the two. Daria also claims that the two will never
graduate . Butt-head thinks that she saidmasturbate .In the meantime the two are still flipping through channels, still not yet willing to give up on finding something good to watch. Butt-head remembers a time he "scored" where he wrongly imagines that a hot girl from his class said "You know, I've always wanted to DO you, Butt-head". Beavis tries to have his own flashback, but does not have the mental capacity to make one up and the scene remains focused with him sitting on the couch.
At McVicker's party,
Coach Buzzcut , who is also happy about the duo's "death", replies to Van Driessen's attempts to get the other partying teachers to show a little respect for the duo's memory by relating his own tales of frustration, leading to another clip montage. After this, Van Driessen proposes holding a memorial collection in Beavis and Butt-head's honor for other troubled students. The thought of the two actually bringing in some money for the school after all the damage they did intrigues McVicker, who agrees.Television crews arrive at the school to cover the story of the duo's apparent demise. By chance, Beavis and Butt-head stumble upon the channel that is covering this, and see the news of an apparent death. Unaware that it is their death under discussion, they resolve to head down to the school to see what is going on.
Upon their arrival, Van Driessen has already collected some money while McVicker talks about the boys on camera (immediately after giving his "real" opinion of them off camera). He is in the process of making a remark that he would give back all of the money in the collection if it would bring Beavis and Butt-head back to life...when they finally arrive and
Butt-head said "Okay, McDicker, give us some money.". The boys then attempt to take the jar containing the collection from him. McVicker suddenly has a massive heart attack on the spot, an attack which is scored to montage clips of Beavis and Butt-head wreaking havoc. Coach Buzzcut beginsCPR on McVicker, but the results are unknown. The two take the collection money and escape through the confusion. Beavis suggests they go to school again the next day in case someone dies, but Butt-head replies "dumbass, we're
rich , we don't have to go toschool ever again!" . The two then walk off into the sunset and the show ends.
