Saint Mary's Cemetery is located in the center of Rockville, Maryland. It is located next to old and new St. Mary's Church on Veirs Mill Road.
Its most famous gravestones are those of Lost Generation author F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife, "née" Zelda Sayre. They were originally buried in Rockville Union Cemetery, but were moved to Saint Mary's at the request of their child and the Women's Club of Rockville. Fitzgerald's epitaph is the final sentence from his acclaimed novel The Great Gatsby.
