Leonia High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in Ninth through Twelfth grade from the Borough of Leonia in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Leonia Public Schools. Students from Edgewater attend the school as part of a sending receiving relationship with the Edgewater Public Schools.

As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 630 students and 67.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 9.3. Students are offered a varied program of studies to meet individual needs and goals. The high school experience includes a demanding curriculum and the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of extra and co-curricular activities.

The $6 million expansion of the high school is now complete. Students now have state-of-the-art science laboratories, a digital TV-Media Workshop, a spacious music room and new classrooms.

The Leonia High School Academy for Pharmacy, Medicine and Technology was started in 2002. The academy prepares students for careers in the medical field. Leonia High School's graduation requirements are among the most rigorous in the state. The school has nine periods per day with no study halls.

Awards and recognition

The school was the 51st-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 314 schools statewide, in "New Jersey Monthly" magazine's September 2008 cover story on the state's "Top Public High Schools". The school was ranked 67th in the magazine's September 2006 issue, which included 316 schools across the state. Athletics

The Leonia High School Lions participate in the Bergen County Scholastic League (BCSL) Olympic athletic conference.

The Boys Tennis Team won the North I, Group I state sectional championship with a 3-2 win in the tournament final over New Milford High School.
