- Tolo Highway
Tolo Highway (zh-cpcy|c=吐露港公路|p=Tùlùgǎng Gōnglù|cy=tou3 lou6 gong2 gung1 lou6) is a major
expressway on Route 9 inHong Kong . It connects thenew towns of Sha Tin and Tai Po in the easternNew Territories .The
road leads offTai Po Road nearSha Tin Racecourse . The following 7.3kilometre s (4.5mile s) of the road runs on an embankment on the west coast ofTolo Harbour towards Yuen Chau Tsai (Island House ). This section is built alongside the HK-MTR lines|East Rail. It was upgraded to a dual four-lane carriageway in 2003.The next section, 5 km (3.1 miles) long, bypasses Tai Po on the hills to its south. This section remains a dual 3-lane carriageway original configuration and terminates at
Lam Kam Interchange where it leads to theFanling Highway and interchanges withLam Kam Road ,Tai Po Road andTai Wo West Service Road .There are 5 junctions along Tolo Highway: Lam Kam Interchange,
