Bryn Celynnog

Bryn Celynnog is a comprehensive school in Beddau, Wales. It has a capacity of over 1200 pupils and 90 teachers.

Alumni

Its alumni include many sports stars who have gone on to be highly successful, such as rugby players Neil Jenkins MBE, Michael Owen, and Gethin Jenkins, who have all represented the British and Irish Lions, and both Paul John and Andrew Lamerton, who have played for Wales.

In addition to this impressive list of rugby players, Bryn Celynnog can also boast badminton player Kelly Morgan and Paralympic swimmer David Roberts MBE, as former pupils

Kelly Morgan won the ladies singles badminton Gold Medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and also appeared at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens,

David Roberts MBE, is a Welsh Paralympic swimmer who won 4 gold medals at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens and 3 gold medals at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney. He also won a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and holds numerous World Records.

Bryn Celynnog is also an eco-friendly school, as shown by the Eco Flags that fly above the school.
