Copic (コピック Kopikku ) is a brand of marker made in Japan by Too and distributed in the United States and Canada by Imagination International. The markers are available in 346 colors and are refillable. The inks used to refill the markers can be mixed to create new colors, and empty markers are sold for this purpose. There is also an airbrush system available.
Copic markers have two tips to cover a wide range of uses; a chisel-style tip at one end and a brush tip at the other. The markers utilize permanent, non-toxic, alcohol-based ink. The markers are also available in a wide style that will more easily cover large areas.

Types
There are four different types of Copic markers, though all use the same ink.
Original
Copic Original markers are available in 214 different colors. They are shaped like a square and have replaceable nibs and ink. These have one brush side and one broad tip side. The brush side on the Copic original is firmer than the brush side on the Copic Ciao and Copic Sketch.
Sketch
Copic Sketch markers are available in all 346 colors. The marker part is shaped more like an oval. These have a softer brush tip and a broad tip as well. They have replaceable nibs and ink.
Wide
Copic Wide markers are mainly used to color large areas with consistency and without streaking the colors. They are thicker and bigger than the Copic Sketch and Copic Original. These have a calligraphy nib. Copic Wides are only available in 36 colors. Copic Wides have refillable ink and replaceable nibs.
Ciao
Copic Ciao are the skinniest of all the Copic Markers. They are thin tube shapes with replaceable nibs and refillable ink. Copic Ciao markers are available in 180 colors. They are double-ended, with a different nib on each side - a "Super Brush" nib, and a "Medium Broad" nib.[1].
