Christopher Jones is a videogame designer and finance professional. He is most famous for his series of interactive movies starring the hard-boiled, out-of-his-time gumshoe Tex Murphy, played by Jones himself, a private investigator that lives in the San Francisco of the middle of the 21st century.
During the 1990s Chris co-owned Access Software with Bruce Carver until it was sold to Microsoft in 1999 after which Chris continued to work in the studio on titles for Xbox and PC.
While at Access Chris was a Financial executive, and worked on various software titles, including Amazon: Guardians of Eden, Countdown, various incarnations of the Links golf franchise, and others. He is best known for the Tex Murphy series which he helped to create and portrayed the title character of, later further developing the character with Aaron Conners.
After Access was again sold and re-christened Indie Built, he was the company's Chief Financial Officer until its dissolution in 2006.
Currently he is Finance Executive of Trugolf and is developing games for Big Finish, in conjunction with Aaron Conners. Their first title, Three Cards to Midnight, was released in May of 2009.
Chris' brother, Kevin L. Jones, played Mac Malden in the Tex Murphy games.
