Kieran Prendiville

Kieran Prendiville (b. 25 December 1947, Rochdale, Lancashire) is a television writer and producer, and has also presented some shows.

Kieran grew up in England where his father (from Killorglin, County Kerry) had emigrated to practise medicine. He attended the same Jesuit boarding school (Clongowes Wood College) in County Kildare, Ireland as his father.

His writing credits include "Boon", "Roughnecks" and "Ballykissangel". From 1973 to 1978 he was paired with Glyn Worsnip as a presenter on "That's Life!", and he has also presented "Tomorrow's World". He was BBC television's choice for on-site commentator of the first space shuttle mission, reporting from Cape Canaveral and Edwards AF base.

He received praise for his drama, "Care", about child abuse in a Welsh children's home.
