Ethos and discipline
In May 1999 the school's Discipline Master told The Straits Times that his biggest problem was catching students smoking. Girls found smoking were made to spend three hours cleaning classrooms. Boy smokers were caned—one stroke on the first occasion, and more strokes subsequently.[1]
