List of post-1960s films in black-and-white

List of post-1960s films in black-and-white

Since the 1970s, fictional feature films have been filmed almost exclusively in color. Before this time, most dramas were filmed in black-and-white while escapist fare, such as Westerns, musicals and comedies, were in color. Still, films from the last few decades are sometimes presented in black and white, usually to create a vintage look, or in case of independent and amateur movies sometimes due to budget constraints. This is a list of notable feature films with significant amounts of black and white footage, post-1960s.

Note: this list does not include short films or documentary films.
