Aneroid (2006 population 45) is a village in southwestern Saskatchewan, Canada, approximately 70 km southeast of Swift Current.

Origin of the name

The most popular version of the origin of the name is that the first survey party lost its aneroid barometer on the present townsite. "Aneroid, The Rising Barometer, 1905-80", p. 1 (1980) Aneroid History Book Committee. ] Many of the streets in the village are named after surveyor's instruments.
