Gorur Ramaswamy Iyengar Kannada:ಗೋರೂರು ರಾಮಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಐಯ್ಯಂಗಾರ (1904 - 1991), popularly known as Gorur, was an Kannada writer; well known for his humor and satire. Born at "Gorur" in Hassan district of Karnataka, he was influenced by Indian Independence Movement and became a staunch follower of Mahatma Gandhi. He was jailed by the British administration in 1942 for his participation in the Quit India Movement.

After Independence in (1947), Gorur worked in the Khadi Board Industries. He began writing late in life. His "Amerikadalli Goruru" 1979, is a satirical travalogue of an orthodox Iyengar in United States. It fetched him the Sahitya Akademi award in 1979. His novel "Bhoothayyana Maga Ayyu" was made into a Kannada movie of the same name by noted director Siddhalingaiah in 1975. His other works include "Rasaphala", "Namma Oorina Rasikaru, "Putta mallige", "Hemavathi" and "Garudagambada Dasayya".

Gorur died in 1991.
