"Hanky Panky" entered the U.S.
Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at #40, the week ofJune 30 ,1990 , while "Vogue" was slowly descending from the chart. The single was out of the Top 40 by its eighth week, fueled mainly by single sales. This song was the first Madonna single since "Like a Virgin" not to chart in the French official singles chart, this being due in part to the fact that very few copies of the single under its vinyl format were available in stores.References
