Indiana , USA. It was not one of the original four townships formed in 1827, but was created in March 1830. It is the most populous township in the county, with a population of 2351 according to the 2000 census, with 1935 of those living in Williamsport.Geography
Washington Township covers an area of 19.51 square miles (50.53 square kilometers); of this, 0.39 square miles (1.01 square kilometers) or 2 percent is water. The streams of Big Pine Creek, Clear Branch, Dry Branch, Fall Branch and Rock Creek run through this township. It is home to
