Buttermilk Creek flows from Astrolabe Lake (Formerly Green Lake), which is entirely within the grounds of Logos Land water park, before depositing into Muskrat River. It is a narrow stream which can be seen meandering through the terrain north of highway 17 as one approaches Cobden from the south. Buttermilk Creek Trout Farm, owned and operated by the Eady family, is stationed on the creek banks. The Trout Farm has been in operation for more than 20 years, raising Rainbow Trout, in the creeks waters.
