Amarjit emigrated to Canada over thirty years ago and has been a resident of the
Knottwood community for the past twenty-one years.Amarjit is a
Disabled Adult Transit Service (D.A.T.S.) driver and is a union representative for D.A.T.S with theEdmonton Transit Services (ATU 569). He was a lead negotiator with the Edmonton Taxi Commission from 1992 to 1997 and is a recipient of a Good Citizenship Award from the Edmonton Police Commission.An entrepreneur, he owns Lakewood Liquor Store. An athlete in his youth, he was on the sport honour role at
Khalsa College, Amritsar . At University, Amarjit set the 800m record, won the gold medal in the 400m, while he captained his University Track and Field Team to the gold medal.External links
