A native of Inglewood, California, Fritz was chairman, founder, and former president of the Alliance for the Separation of School and State.[1] Prior to founding that organization, he founded the Advocates for Self-Government, a non-profit, non-partisan libertarian advocacy and education center. In libertarian circles he is best known as the inventor of the "World's Smallest Political Quiz."
Fritz died at his home in Fresno, California on Nov. 4, 2008, following a months-long battle with pancreatic cancer.[2]
