Gold Coast Water is responsible for the provision of potable and recycled water products and
wastewater services throughout the Gold Coast,Queensland with a vision "to create a sustainable waterfuture for the City." Gold Coast Water was established as a Directorate of theGold Coast City Council in June1996 .Drinking water
The Gold Coast has three water sources –
Hinze Dam , the smallerLittle Nerang Dam andWivenhoe Dam .Water quality is maintained through the management of the catchment’s land, water and biological resources. Gold Coast Water have commenced construction of adesalination plant at Tugun. A pipeline is also under construction that will share Gold Coast water with the rest ofSouth East Queensland .Water hardness
The hardness of Gold Coast water is 40mg/L.
