Bugis Junction (Chinese: 白沙浮广场) is an integrated development located at Victoria Street, Middle Road and
North Bridge Road in Bugis, Downtown Core Planning Area inSingapore . The development consists of ashopping mall , an office tower and the InterContinental Singapore Hotel. The development was completed in1995 and its owned by BCH Investments Pte Ltd which is a subsidiary ofKeppel Land .CapitaLand 'sREIT ,CapitaMall Trust owns a portion of the building. The mall also has aglass covered shoppingstreet s which is the first in the country.Anchor tenants include BHG which was formerly known as Seiyu. Other tenants include,
Books Kinokuniya ,Cold Storage , Food Junction,Shaw Organisation which runs the Bugis Cineplex. There is ayouth -themed zone in the mall and numerousrestaurant s in the building.Kiosk s are found along the shopping streets and shops are by the side, withshophouse themed buildings.The Bugis was commonly known for the large community of transsexuals and transvesittes that worked the area.
