2007 accident
On December 27 2007, 15-year old Teo Boon Hwee got her leg caught in the gap between the platform and the train, causing westbound services from Aljunied to Outram to be disrupted during the evening peak hours. The girl was not seriously hurt and was sent to
Singapore General Hospital for treatment. This was the first major accident in an underground MRT station in Singapore.
