Pendle Heritage Centre

Pendle Heritage Centre is a visitor centre located in Barrowford, Lancashire, England. It is dedicated to the Borough of Pendle and the heritage of the area. The Pendle Heritage Centre is a range of Grade II listed buildings known as Park Hill. Sir Roger Bannister [http://www.iknow-northwest.co.uk/tourist_information/lancashire_lancs/ribble_valley/pendle_hill_witches.htm] is a descendant of the family that once lived here. At Pendle Heritage Centre there is also an 18th century walled garden and woodland walk, and the Pendle Arts Gallery.

Park Hill is an old farmhouse that has been restored using traditional building techniques to provide visitors with an insight on how the house has been developed and adapted from the 1400s.

Exhibitions include:

* The Pendle witches
* Story of Park Hill
* The history of the Bannister family
* The Swinglehursts

The Swinglehursts occupied the house during the late 18th century and built a Georgian extension to the house.

Opening times

The Pendle Heritage Centre is open daily from 10am to 5pm. The museum and gallery are open from 11am to 4pm.
